KING PROTEA

Commissioned for a private residence in Rippleside, Geelong, transforming the corrugated exterior wall of a garden shed into a feature within the garden.

Featuring two King Proteas, the national flower of South Africa, the artwork draws on the clients’ personal connections to the country and their experiences living and travelling around the world.

The mural combines soft pinks, deep greens and layered foliage, creating a sense of movement and depth across the wall. The colour palette and botanical forms were carefully considered to complement the surrounding garden while establishing a connection with the interior of the home.

The finished mural brings colour and character to the outdoor space, creating a vibrant backdrop that can be enjoyed from both inside the home and throughout the garden.
